Is Libya Barack Obama’s Iraq?

Ah the irony. Do you remember when GW Bush brought us into Iraq? How the liberals howled. In fact, they howled until the end of Bush’s 2nd term. George Bush presented his bogus WMD case to congress before he went full steam ahead. So at least he honored the constitution and went to Congress first.

Not Barack Obama! He just plowed in without any prior approval from Congress (or anyone else). And how silent the liberals are now about this. Where is the uproar from them? I went to the Daily Kooks (Daily Kos) and searched recent articles with the word “Libya”. Not surprisingly, there were very few that were critical of Obama – most were only liberal news hashing articles.

Funny how things change when it’s a liberal in the White House entering YET ANOTHER Middle East conflict. Yet again, we see the liberal hypocrisy in action through their silence and complacence on the subject of our involvement in Libya. Unfortunately for Barry O, Daffy Gaddafi may be right. He promised a long battle if the US and Western forces were to get involved. The news this week indicates that the rebel forces are losing ground against Daffy. This might mean that Libya will go on and on…. just like Iraq. The gift that keeps taking.

Break Obama? He’s already Broken!

FoxNews courtesy of Hannity, ran this piece about Barack Obama’s lame speech on Libya. Their story says that Libya could “Break Obama”. Well as far as I’m concerned, he’s already broken. Since Barack Obama took office, we can boast:

— Far fewer decent paying jobs
— Continuing high unemployment
— Lower wages
— Higher food prices
— Higher gas prices

And to add to Obama’s list of failure, I am reading that rents are going up. This is an obvious (but entirely foreseeable) result of the housing bust. Suddenly renting is no longer the shameful housing option it once was. Suddenly, it’s fiscally sound so everyone says “rent rent rent”. In fact, with the restrictions on new mortgages and the above points, few people can afford to do anything but rent. And rent is simply complying with the law of supply and demand.

In a healthy economy, this would not be a such a bad, but let make this clear: This is not a healthy economy. Even though the mainstream media keeps pretending that we are in some kind of economic recovery, that is far from the truth. The combination of factors listed in this blog post cannot sit in the same room as “economic recovery”. Any talk of economic recovery is a lie originating from the Obama Administration and carried across the lying liberal news sources.

Sorry folks, Obama is already broken.

Network Solutions is down

The web host and domain host Network Solutions is down this morning March 21, 2011. You get this message on their page:

Performing system maintenance? Yeah sure you are. Don’t despair indeed? When you try to call them, you get the message: “All Trunks are Busy – please try your call again later” so I assume this is a system wide and wide reaching failure. LOLs. Serves them right for pre censoring that Fitna the Movie back in 2008. Karma.

I Still Call it a False Recovery

CNBC had this article about our illustrious “Welfare State”

Government payouts—including Social Security, Medicare and unemployment insurance—make up more than a third of total wages and salaries of the U.S. population, a record figure that will only increase if action isn’t taken before the majority of Baby Boomers enter retirement.

Even as the economy has recovered, social welfare benefits make up 35 percent of wages and salaries this year, up from 21 percent in 2000 and 10 percent in 1960, according to TrimTabs Investment Research using Bureau of Economic Analysis data.

Even as the economy has recovered? What economy recovered? Did I miss something? My pay is still cut due to down profits, my neighbors and friends are broke, the states are broke, unemployment is still around 9%, gas prices are spiraling up.. what is this recovery? Where is it? Apparently it doesn’t cross west of the Hudson to Main Street.

So this is the new recovery with over one third of ‘wages’ being doled out as handouts? Somehow, I think using the word recovery in this context is in bad taste. And we’re closing in on our EU counterparts where 44% is the level of government handouts. I believe most EU countries have reached the point where dependence on government can go no further. There has to be a threshold where there isn’t enough private enterprise to support a government.

Handouts Make Up One-Third of U.S. Wages

New York Times Article Exposes Liberal Hypocrisy

Only they call it “Nimbyism”. Yeah whatever, if it walks like a duck, it’s a duck and liberals have proven themselves once the worst hypocrites.

Last week, two groups of New Yorkers who live “on or near” Prospect Park West, a prestigious address in Park Slope, filed a suit against the administration of Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg to remove a nine-month-old bike lane that has commandeered a lane previously used by cars.

In Massachusetts, the formidable opponents of Cape Wind, a proposed offshore wind farm in Nantucket Sound, include members of the Kennedy family, whose compound looks out over the body of water. In Berkeley last year, the objections of store owners and residents forced the city to shelve plans for a full bus rapid transit system (B.R.T.), a form of green mass transit in which lanes that formerly served cars are blocked off and usurped by high-capacity buses that resemble above-ground subways.

The article goes on to say that once we see our neighbors doing it or accepting, we do. That people cave in to peer pressure. So that one day, we may look at a wind farm the same way we look at telephone poles today. I’m not sure that argument holds on offshore wind farms, but on shore wind farms, yes it would probably look innocuous after a while. That being said, I don’t look outside and consider the telephone poles “beautiful” and probably never will. They are just a utility.

Anyway, this article exposes the worst kind of liberals: The wealthy ones. These are the liberals in speech only. When no one is looking, they are just as materialistic as anyone else. Like fat Michael Moore. Liberals who are poor at least live by their beliefs probably because they can’t think beyond their condition of poverty. They cannot think beyond the notion that there is some magic pot of gold somewhere in which they should have their share.

Green Development? Not in My (Liberal) Backyard

Who are the Wisconsin 14?

I had to do a fair amount of Googling and Binging to actually find a site that has the names listed. Most of the spineless liberal news sites just refer to them as “The Wisconsin 14” or just AWOL Wisconsin Lawmakers or some such thing. Wisconsin carpetbaggers is better. Well, there is talk of their return. They should return to pack their desk, then be told to leave. Of course that will not happen but I do hope the voters of Wisconsin will put them out of their jobs.

Anyway, here is the list.
