The liberal news is blooming today with flowery stories about Barack Obama’s performance at the Daily Prayer Breakfast. You know what ‘performance’ I’m talking about – the one where he pretends to be a Christian. Who am I to say who is a Christian and who isn’t? Right. It’s not my place, I admit that. But at the same time, I am not buying this any more than I bought this act the first time he did it.
One of the problems with Christianity, is that just about anyone can say he or she is “forgiven” and call themselves a “Christian”. Christianity is a case where actions speak louder than words. If you are a Christian, then most likely your best friends are also Christians. In fact, you probably met them at Church or some such gathering and saw their actions before you became friends.
Barack Obama is a man of many words, there is no arguing that. He is perhaps one of the better word spinners of today. But that doesn’t make him a good president. In fact, his own words, like many presidents before him are helping to undo him. He ran his campaign on emotions – “Yes we Can” and “Hope and Change”. So how is that “Hope and Change” working out for you by the way? Bottom line, Barack, put up or shut up. His Daily Prayer Breakfast speech was just that – a speech. And as I posted before, America Cannot Run on Speeches Alone!
